Artcity is a five-year programme launching in September 2015 to make Stoke-on-Trent a more interesting place to live and work. It’s aims are:
To generate more arts activity within the city
To encourage more graduates in creative subjects to live and work in the city
To improve the creative profile of Stoke-on-Trent regionally and nationally
The Artcity programme focuses on using redundant buildings and spaces in the city as temporary sites for artistic activity
It is led by B Arts in partnership with Airspace Gallery, The Cultural Sisters, Letting In The Light, Partners In Creative Learning and Restoke. The programme is supported by Stoke City Council and Staffordshire University.
Artcity is funded by The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. Image: The Lost Post Office 2014
