The Little School of Improbable Cooking

The Little School of Improbable Cooking was a summer holiday programme aimed at families with young children, produced by B Arts, Writing West Midlands and Stoke-on-Trent Libraries. Taking the Summer Reading Challenge author Roald Dahl as a starting point, the Little School of Improbable Cooking was a fantastical kitchen set up within B Arts’ community bakery space Bread In Common. Families were met at the library by our cooks and then within the Little School they took part in a variety of storytelling, reading and writing and baking activities, culminating in a shared meal cooked by the participants.

The Little School of Improbable Cooking was funded by Arts Council England through Grants for the Arts and Stoke City Council.
