Session 9: Curry Week!

Hi everyone, Alliyah here from the Rise Project here. Welcome back to the last session of the Rise Project. In this session we are making:

  • Cumin and Onion Rice: We are making a rice dish inspired by the dish Pulaw which can be served alone or alongside other curries.

  • Alu Palak: (which is known as Saag Alu on many Indian restaurant menus) Our version contains less fat, salt and chillies and is super easy to make. This recipe goes really well with our Naans which you will find under session 6 of the project.

  • Chole Palak: (which translates to Chickpeas and Spinach) This is an amazing, cheap, and nutritious curry that is super quick to cook.

  • Green Lentil Dal: We take a tin of humble green lentils and turn it into an amazingly quick and nutritious Dal.
