Betty Buffer and some of her friends are here to introduce an exciting new project - Betty Buffer’s Kitchen (and Garden).

Betty’s been making the best of local produce, fresh things and not wasting any food and wants to share some tips and tricks with you. She has prepared a series of videos with how-to guides on all things kitchen and garden!

Betty also wants to hear from you! What are your special recipes? Do you know your pulses from your lentils? Are you green-fingered? Betty wants to collect as many community recipes and growing tips as possible! You can send ideas and questions to Betty via our social media, or by emailing info@b-arts.org.uk.

Betty Buffer's Kitchen (and Garden) is part of B arts Food for Life Get Together programme which aims to connect people through growing, cooking and eating!

The project is all about sharing skills and ideas that support us to cook well, grow well, eat well and to stay connected! So, if you’ve got some tips or ideas you’d to share as part of the project we’d love to hear from you and do make sure to follow the project!

Betty Buffer’s Kitchen (and Garden) is funded by the Soil Association and the Community Fund through the Food for Life Programme. You can find out more about this programme along with lots of tips and resources over at https://www.foodforlife.org.uk/get-togethers

Apple Day - Saturday 25th October

On Saturday 25th October we hosted Betty Buffer’s Apple Day live in our building. In the morning, we had an apple chutney making workshop and in the afternoon Betty showed us how to make upside down apple tart tatin.

The amount of preparation that went into the Chutney Workshop was gratefully appreciated. The smells and concentrated activity were great fun to behold, thank you for your efforts, they are much appreciated.
