Climate Cafe Open Call Out

Did you know?

We have a rolling Open Call Out to run an activity at our monthly Climate Cafe!

We are looking for contributors between November 2025 - March 2026

You could be looking for the chance to try out a participatory activity as a volunteer or offer your skills to the project as a community member or looking for paid work as a local artist

Whatever your situation, if you have an idea for Climate Cafe, then we would like to hear from you!

November: Leaves and Light, Roots and Regeneration

Thinking about the natural cycles of decay and regeneration as we head into winter, the need for rest and reflection, and how to create connections and support each other through the darker months

January: Into the New-preparing for change

What could transitioning to a more climate resilient community look like?

What are the big and small actions that we could start the year with

What would a transition town look like for this area?

February: Love letter to a green space...

An invitation to artists/community members to choose a green space you love and to create a workshop/activity in celebration of it.

March: Pollinator party

A celebration of pollinators and their role, including practical ideas for supporting pollinators.

We’d love to hear from artists with an idea to bring these themes to life, in any art form.

We’re also interested to hear from non-artists about any ideas around these themes.

We’re also keen to hear from you if you would like to bring a repair skill or other skill to share at one of our climate cafes

Previous examples of repair/skills sharing have included;

Jewellery Repair

Instrument Repair

Cooking skills

Bicycle repair

Re-purposing household items

All proposals should have a participatory element and be suitable for people of all ages and abilities, to drop in and take part

Where applicable, we will be able to provide a fee for the workshop which is available to cover the costs of delivering the activity on the day

We will be able to provide materials and equipment where needed and provide support in planning and delivery

If you’re interested, you can speak to Kath or Rebecca in person
