B arts is looking for new Board members!
B.ARTS is an arts and educational charity and company limited by guarantee. The Board of Trustees ensure that B.ARTS is run in an efficient and professional manner, and that B.ARTS fulfils its charitable vision, mission and objectives.
Board members meet four times a year, at the end of each financial quarter, to review progress against business objectives and the management accounts. The board are sent papers in advance of each meeting, that provides information on the company's finances, staffing, programming and business planning.
This is a voluntary role, and it would suit someone who:
Is interested in gaining experience in management and leadership in the arts
Can commit to 4 meetings per year, usually in December, February, May & September.
Has leadership skills and/or lived-experience relevant to our programme and wants to add their perspective to B.ARTS decision making!
Board Member Opportunities:
Work closely with B.ARTS team and attend B.ARTS events and activity
Undertake training in governance and organisational management
Meet a network of artists, creatives and community representatives, working together to co-create socially-motivated arts
Become Treasurer, Deputy Chair, or Chair Person*
*B.ARTS board of trustee has a chair in place but this is a fixed term role, we are always interested in hearing from those who wish to put themselves forward
